FIXED PAYOUT CONTRACTS

How will I get paid for Fixed Payout Contracts

Fixed-payout contracts are covered by Workboxhub Fixed Payout Protection. The Employer has an option to set up milestone payments in Fixed Payout Contracts. Your Employer places funds into escrow before they hire you for the Project. When you submit a Project your Employer is able to review your work and  request you to make changes, if required on the message option, or mark the Project as completed which will direct us to release payment. However, funds in escrow cannot be returned to your Employer unless the Employer opts or you go through a dispute option on our Platform. In the event the Employer does not take an action after you submit the work within 12 working days then it will be considered as approval by the Employer and the funds kept in escrow will be automatically released to the Freelancer.

Define and Pre-Fund Milestones for Fixed Term Projects

Before working on Fixed Projects, the Freelancer and the Employer can agree to complete the work in milestones and how much time the Freelancer will get paid for completing each milestone.
  • The Freelancer shall discuss with the Employer to either get paid on lump sum or request to be paid in milestones.
  • The Employer will predefine the milestones and send the proposal for approval of milestones to Freelancer.
  • After the Freelancer approves the proposal of milestone payment the Employer will then make payment of the particular milestone.
  • Before the Freelancer starts working on the Project he must check the project status. The milestone will be depicted as hired which proves that the Employer has done the payment for that milestone.
  • The same pattern will follow for all milestones on which Freelancer works.
  • Workboxhub will collect escrow deposits to confirm your Employer’s ability to pay, but payment is dependent on your Employer’s satisfaction with your work.
  • Please note that only the money that’s held in escrow is secure. Workboxhub can’t help you collect any funds that have been promised but not deposited to the escrow. Therefore, it’s important that the amount held in escrow is appropriate for the work you will perform for that milestone.

Submitting Milestones

The Freelancer must discuss the Project deliverables with the Employer before submission. The Freelancer should send the documents using the Workboxhub message tool only.

    • Go to the Ongoing Jobs on the dashboard
    • Select the contract you wish to submit work

    • Click on Send now.
    • The Freelancer will be notified when the Employer approves the payment by marking the Project as complete or the Employer can request changes through Workboxhub message tools.

Review & Approve Milestones

Once you submit your work, your Employer will review and either approve the milestone by marking the milestone as complete or ask for changes.

  • The Employer has 12 working days from the most recent submission on a milestone to review and approve or request changes. Approval releases the payment from escrow to you.
  • You may file a dispute on Workboxhub in the event the Employer refuses to release funds for a completed milestone.
  • The funds held in escrow won’t be released back to the Employer unless you approve their return through dispute mediation on Workboxhub.

Important:  In the event, you re-submit a milestone, the process above resets and your Employer will have 12 working days to review the milestone from the time you re-submitted it.

Qualifying for Fixed-Price Protection

All funds held in escrow are covered by Workboxhub Fixed-Price Protection. Protection will only cover the milestones for which the payment has already been done by the Employer on the Workboxhub Platform.
